Why we’re different · Our process

Autonomy. Inclusion. Belonging.

The three things families want most for their child — and what a plan has to account for to make them possible.

Why we’re different

A trust that is never funded may not do what a family expects

Our mission is to reduce the isolation families feel when no one has looked at the whole picture — with the understanding that comes from having lived it.

So, we plan for the whole family, not only the adult child. And we build it alongside the other professionals already in your life, because a plan assembled by people who never spoke to each other is how a family ends up with a well-drafted trust that was never funded, or a replacement caregiving team of one, which sometimes ends up being more overwhelming than when you were alive.

Many of the families we meet already have some documents. What they often do not have is a funding plan — how the Special Needs Trust actually receives money when you die or can no longer provide care (and you’re still alive). A trust that is never funded may not do what a family expects it to do. We bring your legal and benefits team to the table, build the risk management and investment strategy around what the trust is projected to need, and put a number and a mechanism behind the documents you have signed.

How to get started

The first conversation is a conversation

Nothing to gather, nothing to prepare, no obligation on the other side of it — we talk about where your family is now and what usually comes next. You will be talking with a fellow parent or caregiver.

  1. 01

    The first conversation

Let’s get to know each other.

  2. 02

    The whole picture

Benefits review, existing documents, cost-of-care analysis.

  3. 03

    The team at the table

Your estate planning attorney and your benefits specialist, in the same conversation as your plan.

  4. 04

    The Quality of Life Plan

Where your child will live, who will be in their life, what a good day looks like.

  5. 05

    The funding plan

The investment and risk management strategy behind what the trust is projected to need.

  6. 06

    The ongoing relationship

The plan keeps moving as your family’s story does.

Let’s craft the next chapter of your Whole Story together. Are you ready to begin?
